About MCB’s Thermal Calibration Test Bench

MCB thermal calibration test bench, commonly known as short delay test bench.

It is a common equipment in the MCB production process. However, many companies usually choose manual test benches for cost saving, as shown in the figure below:

However, such test benches require operators to manually connect wires, toggle switches, and operate joysticks during testing. This approach carries certain risks: firstly, the operator is in close proximity to live parts, posing a risk of electric shock; secondly, repetitive manual operations are not only inefficient but also prone to human error, leading to unstable test results. Furthermore, prolonged operation requires a high level of physical strength.

Therefore, there are currently only two types of semi-automatic thermal calibration test benches available on the market:

The operator only needs to place the MCB into the fixture, and the machine will automatically complete the product positioning, displacement (pole-by-pole testing of multi-P MCBs) and screwdriver calibration, greatly reducing manual intervention and improving test safety and consistency.

There is an additional process of manually switching the test poles one by one using a black card. The device can also automatically complete the calibration operation of the screwdriver, which not only reduces the labor intensity but also ensures accuracy.

Overall, semi-automated equipment not only effectively reduces personal safety risks, but also improves test efficiency and reliability, and is a significant optimization and upgrade of traditional manual test benches.
