As the fastest growing Asian country in recent years, Vietnam has gradually replaced China as the emerging world factory after Covid-19 (also known as the CCP virus), and its human rights treatment is far more standardized than that of mainland China.
However, in the field of low-voltage electrical products, Vietnam lacks mature experience, technology and a complete supply chain market, and it will be difficult to replace China’s advantages in this field for a long time in the future. At present, the industries transferred from China are still mainly manual light industries.
As a well-known power industry giant in Vietnam, MPE Group has maintained close ties with the Chinese market for many years. Its main products, such as circuit breakers, are OEM processed by Chinese enterprises. With the gradual maturation of the Vietnamese market, MPE Group also has the intention to invest in automated production in the future. The communication during this visit to Benlong was very effective and fruitful. However, due to the currently low labor costs in the Vietnamese market, perhaps in the short term, automation may not be the top priority for the Southeast Asian market led by Vietnam.
