After the 1960s, due to the application of electronic computers, there appeared CNC machine tools, machining centers, robots, computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing, automated warehouses and so on. A flexible manufacturing system (FMS) adapted to multi – variety and small – batch production is developed.
